Presidency Message:

We are excited to serve with you in the Young Men’s organization. We are anxious to help you in any way we can. We are convinced that one of the keys to your success and ours is to be relentless in our pursuit of knowledge and understanding of our responsibilities. We encourage you to be experts in your “field”. There are many resources available to assist you. The Church website, lds.org, has some great material for Aaronic Priesthood training. The Aaronic Priesthood handbook (blue) also provides valuable insight. For scouting related matters there are some great on line training that can be found. We suggest you take advantage of these. They will provide specific understanding and will open the door to personal revelation on what you should do. We have great young men in our stake and they deserve the best-trained leaders. Congratulations to:

Cuyler Strong, Parkview ward, received his Duty to God award on 11/29/09 and was ordained an Elder.
Austin Francom, Falcon Hill ward, received his Eagle Scout award on 11/28/09. .

Please send us info on your young men so that we can congratulate them on their accomplishments.
Please notify us of Duty to God awards both final and Deacon, Teacher and Priest. We have something we would like to present to them from the stake.

We encourage all wards to start their scout leaders training. You can start it by going to www.myscouting.com click on the training link and do the Orientation Fast Start E-Learning course that corresponds to your calling. Our goal is 100% of our YM leaders trained in Fast Start (online) by January 31, 2010, Basic training by February 28, 2010 and Outdoor Skills by June 1, 2010. BBQ dinner for the ward with the highest % by 6/30/10.
